In February 2012, Sojourn Chaplaincy at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) received a $5,000 grant from the Leo Buscaglia Foundation to support their volunteer program, which trains volunteers to serve as chaplains to SFGH’s patients, family members, and staff. This is Sojourn’s first grant from the Buscaglia Foundation, and they are very grateful for the foundation’s support in upholding their mission of providing a nonjudgmental ministry of presence, and spiritual care training, for the broad, multicultural mix of patients, their loved ones, the staff of SFGH, and the community.
The grant-writing professionals at My Dutch Uncle worked with the Sojourn staff to produce the award-winning grant proposal.
